TLDR; (somewhere around) 461 floppy's/singles and 34 Trade Paperbacks/Graphic Novels.
I know, I know- I have a problem. Over three years I have bought hundreds of comic books, and I've actually got a couple duplicates. Luckily it's never been that I didn't remember buying it just a couple mix ups. Some times I pick up two, I had one come with a variant without noticing, and I've been given comics I already had. It is frustrating, however, to find a comic you want to buy and not be sure if you already did. The way I decided to combat this was to start writing down what I had. When I did this on paper I never kept up, and that's when I had the genius revelation to use google docs.

While I still may not keep up to date all the time, it is much easier to do so in mass when I have the time. I list them in the same order I store them, first by alphabetical than by run/release date and number. Each title gets it's own row before I list the issues I own. Then by the title name I include how many comics are listed on that row which I then add up to the total number in that letter. (In the photo below 52 is short hand for the new 52 and any listed years are there to differentiate between other runs.)

Once this is done it's very helpful, but the original count to create this list can be very time consuming and difficult. Most of my list is still correct and believable but there are a couple mistakes that could be majorly messing with my numbers.

This is a mistake that I found in the J's- I didn't include commas which created an impossible number that's difficult to fix. I'm going to have to recount and adjust these comics now, and be sure nothing like this happened anywhere else. (Looking at it now I think it may be 188, 194, and 233. What do you think?)
How do you guys organize your comics, or do you even own any? Do you have any more questions I could answer? I definitely want to talk more about this, since I ran out of time today, so let me know!
